Traditional Non-denominational Vows

Example one:

______, will you take ______ to be your beloved wife/husband?
Do you dedicate your life to ensuring his/her happiness?
Do you promise to love, honour, and trust her/him in sickness and in health, whether rich or poor, and to commit yourself wholly to him/her for the duration of your life?

Example two:

I take you, ______, to be my wife/husband, as my truest friend and love.
From this day forth I declare the sincerity of my commitment to you and together we will face the future hand in hand.
The world will know that I am yours and you are mine.
Though tribulation may strike at us and sorrow may knock upon our door our love will rein supreme. If sickness should ravage you I will hold you near, our love will rein supreme.
Together we can confront adversity and fulfill our hopes and dreams.
We will share all things and endure all things and I will comfort, cherish and hold you even as you draw your last breath.

Example three:

I, ______, choose you ______, as my wife/husband from this day forward.
I accept you as my soul mate and confidant and as my life partner and equal.
I bestow upon you my unconditional love and devotion and with humility I open my arms to you so that you may find warmth and comfort in my embrace.
I will be your present help in times of trouble and your shelter in the storm.
I will weep when you are weeping and when you laugh I’ll laugh with you.
I will trust you and respect you in all that you do and take comfort in the fact that whatever tomorrow brings we shall face it together.
In life my love for you shall never waiver and only death shall part us.
